Duval VINELink Release Coverage
Florida Statewide VINE provides custody information and notifications for a named person whose record is supplied by a participating agency. In Duval County, that may include a JSO custody event or a Florida Department of Corrections event. Coverage depends on the agency feed and the identifiers entered. It should not be treated as a complete historical ledger of every Duval release.
VINE is a notification mirror. A released or out-of-custody status means the source reported that change. It does not explain every court term, and a transfer notice does not mean the person returned to the community. The JSO historical record confirms a county jail exit. FDC release detail confirms a state prison exit. A signed court order explains the legal basis.
Search a Duval VINELink Record
Start at the Florida page and choose Find an Individual or the custody search shown by the live interface. Exact name and a known offender or booking identifier are safer than a loose name match. Same-name results can belong to different custody systems or different people.
- Open Florida VINE and choose the custody or offender search.
- Enter the exact first and last name or the available identifier.
- Compare the listed agency, name details, and offender identifier.
- Open only the matching record and note the status and update time.
- If no match appears, search JSO historical records or FDC directly.
The manifest-captured specific-person form shows the search route used for a Florida check.
The form is designed for a person lookup, not a countywide list of all recent releases.
Duval VINELink Release Fields
Labels can change with the interface and agency feed. Preserve the exact text instead of converting every custody change to release. Record the update time because a VINE status may lag the source system.

A future state release date is still a projection. An actual release status after the event is stronger, but the originating JSO or FDC record remains the confirmation source.
Register Duval Release Notifications
Open the correct record before choosing Get Notified. The live service exposes telephone, email, SMS, TTY, and in-app methods, though the choices shown can depend on the event and current workflow. Select release and any other custody events that are relevant.
- Select Get Notified or the notification option on the matching record.
- Choose an offered delivery channel and enter the destination carefully.
- Select release, transfer, or other listed custody events.
- Complete the confirmation, verification, account PIN, or call acknowledgment actually displayed.
- Keep the confirmation private and update the destination if it changes.
No universal Florida four-digit phone PIN was verified for every current path. Do not rely on old instructions. Complete only the prompt shown for the selected channel, then retain enough confirmation detail to manage the alert.
Note: Registering on a wrong same-name record can send notices about another person, so verify the source agency and identifier first.
Confirm Duval VINELink Alerts
A VINE alert is a prompt to check the source, not final proof. For John E. Goode, Montgomery, or CTC, search the JSO historical booking and read the actual Released field. For a state prisoner, use the FDC Inmate Release Information search and distinguish a future Current Release Date from a completed release entry.
If the feed and source disagree, preserve the identifier, exact status, and time from each. Call JSO Jail/Inmate Information at 904-630-5760 for a local booking issue or contact the FDC data office for a state record. Federal Release Alerts in Duval
VINELink does not replace the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. JSO can house federal detainees at John E. Goode, yet leaving that building may mean return to U.S. Marshals custody, transfer to BOP, movement elsewhere, or release by the federal court. Search the system that holds the federal authority.
The BOP locator can show a past release date and Released or Not in BOP Custody. That proves only that BOP custody ended. It does not rule out another jail, immigration custody, or federal supervised release. USMS has no comparable public historical detainee release roster, so the federal court record and an authorized agency request may be needed.
Duval Registry Release Status
The FDLE Sexual Offender and Predator search is a separate, narrow channel for people subject to Florida registration law. Its Released - Subject to Registration status means the registrant is no longer confined or supervised by listed justice agencies but still has a registration duty. It can corroborate discharge for that person.
This registry does not cover the general released population and cannot fill a missing VINE result. Other labels include Absconded, Confinement, Supervised-FDC, and Supervised-US Probation. Read the listed status as written and return to JSO or FDC for the underlying custody event.
Missing Duval VINELink Results
No VINE match does not prove release. It may reflect a spelling difference, delayed feed, wrong agency choice, identifier error, an agency outside participating coverage, or a record that is no longer shown in the same way. Try the person's source-agency identifier, then use the system tied to the last known custody.
For a JSO booking, search by legal name or Jail Number and include historical records by clearing Search Only Inmates in Jail. Open the correct custody episode and read Released, not Expected Released Date. For a state prisoner, use the FDC release database by DC number. FDC separates current prison population, inmate release information, supervised population, and absconder records because each answers a different question.
Duval CORE is useful when the custody source is unclear. A bond order, sentence, dismissal, or transfer entry may explain the legal event, while the agency record supplies the actual custody timestamp. A docket entry alone does not show that processing is done. Open the signed order when exact terms matter.
Identity errors are common in multi-system checks. Compare the booking or offender number, date of birth when public, case number, custody agency, and event date. Never merge records just because names and ages look close.
Note: Keep the status wording and update time from each channel before asking the source office to resolve a conflict.
Respond to Duval Release Alerts
Read the event before taking action. A release alert, transfer alert, and custody update carry different meanings. Note the agency and timestamp, then open that agency's current record. If JSO reports Released, compare the booking number and date. If FDC reports a change, check both inmate release information and supervised population because physical release can begin a new supervision phase.
When a notice arrives late, the source record may already have the final detail. When it arrives first, processing or data transfer may still be underway. VINE should never be the only source for a time-sensitive legal decision or personal safety plan. Use local emergency services for an immediate danger and the source agency for status confirmation.
Notification settings also need care. Keep email, telephone, or app destinations current. Do not share confirmation credentials. If calls or messages stop, return to the matching person record and check whether the event subscription remains available in the live interface. A new custody episode may have a different source record and may require a new registration.
